Sorry it's been so long....

It has been so hectic over here at the Murray house between preschool, twins, trains, work, blah blah blah...Not to mention I broke my camera about a month ago at the beach when a wave unexpectedly appeared...nice!

So the babies turned 6 months this past Oct 18th and are doing so well. They are almost sitting up and Devan wants to crawl almost any day now it seems and Tatum has no interest and absolutely hates being on her tummy. Sigh...

So we are taking a vacation next Friday and going on a motorhome family adventure just the 5 of us. We are going to Yosemite for 3 nights and then leaving the rest of the time unplanned. We figured that since our life right now is so structured and scheduled how great would it be to just plan those last 4 days on a whim...

I am really hoping the babies do well on this trip. Justin and I are not looking forward to this week of planning and packing to get us out on the open highway but I am so looking forward to driving away next Friday without a care in the world.

I will take lots of pictures (if my new camera arrives in time) and lots of video.

Hope everyone is doing well.

My cute lil preschooler

Trent started preschool on the 17th two days a week. He has had a hard time adjusting but finally seems to be liking it...well most of the time.

Update...

Trent, Daddy, and Devan on the train
Tatum on the train

Daddy and T

T ready to go get on the train

Sorry I've been a little bit missing in action lately. I started back at work last Monday and we have been trying to adjust to our new crazier schedule. I can't believe I was off work for 4 months and my little babies are 4 months already! Justin, Trent, and I took the babies last Tuesday for their 4 month check up. Devan is 14 lbs and Tatum is 13.5 lbs...doing great!! My babysitting schedule worked out well last week. Justin's mom, his grandma, and my mom all helped out last week and each week going forward (thankfully)...not sure what we would do without them. What a blessing they are. I go to work and can concentrate on work all day because I know my babies and Trent are taken care of probably better than they are when I take care of them myself. I am blessed to be able to work 3 days from home and still be able to spend those days with them :)
So we took our main man Trent on a train ride to San Diego over the weekend with Justin's parents. Oh how he loved it. We drove to Oceanside (yes, with the babies too) and took the "Coaster" train down to San Diego and back. It is a great train ride with beautiful ocean scenery the whole way there. We will have to go again soon. I have posted some pics from our train journey. Have a great week.

Very determined..

Devan absolutely loves his older brother Trent. Everytime Trent is around, Devan laughs hysterically at Trent and just smiles, smiles, smiles. He wants to play with Trent so bad and watches him all the time...he seems determined to play with Trent as soon as possible. Tatum doesn't really care about Trent all that much and vice versa. T loves his little brother Dev

I have always heard girls do things before boys so when Tatum rolled over from back to belly first I wasn't surprised. Devan soon followed and now he is always on his stomach. I put him under the gym and he rolls over immediately. I put him in his crib, same thing. He sleeps on his belly..I can't get him to sleep any other way. Tatum still likes to be on her back more. So here are some pics of Lil D (as Daddy and T call him) on his belly...I can't believe they are already 3 months old!!

Brotherly Love

Trent is such a great big brother. Devan just adores Trent. He smiles and giggles anytime Trent is around. Here is Trent and Devan watching Baby Einstein together in the bumbo chairs- too cute!

Tatum

Here is a picture I took today on my phone. I just love her!

Pictures of the babies

Babies are doing well. They smile all the time now, it is so darn cute. Tatum rolled over from her back to her tummy yesterday (and she keeps doing it and it just makes her so mad)...I'm sure Devan will follow soon. Big brother Trent and Devan
Devan is just the jollious little guy..he's always so happy when you come in the room.

Is this the funniest picture you've ever seen? I love these bumbo chairs!! I need to post a video as they wobble around as they are sitting watching TV. They love the Backyardigans because of all the colors, Trent did too. They love Baby Einstein as well.

Gotta love the Backyardigans!

So proud of myself!!

So Trent is swimming today at my moms and I desperately need to go grocery shopping. Lately I've just been waiting for Justin to get home from work and then I go. It's late we end up eating out and the store is busy and a mess.

So with just the twins here today I felt adventurous....I went to Stater Bros. with just me and the twins. The funny thing is I barely went grocery shopping on my own with just Trent. I was always so afraid to venture out. Today i'm like "What was I thinking, oh the freedom I had."

So I fed both babies, changed them, pumped milk and off we went. Devan was asleep so he stayed in his car seat in the front of the cart and Tatum was awake so she got the baby backpack thing. I was only going to get a few things but they were so good, I did a full weeks worth of grocery shopping. Tatum fell asleep on me half way through shopping. I was so proud of myself. Amen!!

I've felt so trapped inside the house lately. I have taken the twins once to the mall but grocery shopping I thought would be too much. This is now just the beginning of many adventures.

Had to share.

Trains, Trains, and more Trains

So anyone who knows Trent knows he is a train fanatic. At least 5 times per week Justin takes Trent to the train tracks by our house and they walk alongside the track and wait for trains. Trent calls the train 'Diesel.'

When Justin and Brandon were kids, their mom would take them to this train park in Riverside where they could ride miniture trains for free. The cool thing is it is still there. Every other Sunday I believe you can take your kids and ride these miniture trains- they only except donations. The pictures are actually from a few months ago when I was still pregnant but I thought it was cool enough to share.

Justin's mom Deanne and stepdad Jim took Trent over the weekend on a train from Oceanside to San Diego and back. Trent of course loved it! By the way, we shaved Trent's hair off and now he looks like he is 7 years old. My baby boy!!!

Getting ready to board the train- how exciting!!

My twins are 12 weeks old!

The babies are doing so good and almost sleeping through the night- Thank you Kristal for recommending BabyWise (totally works). Here are some new pictures.

Things are looking up and we are starting to get some sleep.

It's getting easier...

Tater Tot
Lil D and Trent

Tatum in her skirt

Trent with his new golf clubs

So I can finally say that I think it is starting to get a little easier over here at the Murray house. Justin and I are both getting to understand the babies' routines and are adjusting to our new life as parents of three kids.

I still have two more months of maternity leave which I will enjoy and miss when I go back to work. Now that is going to be hectic but luckily we have a great support system between my mom, Justin's mom Deanne and Justin's Grandma Judy.

Which brings me to my next comment. Justin had a great suggestion that I post a 'Thank you' tribute on my blog to my mom, Deanne, and Judy for all the help they give to us and have offered when I go back to work. I wanted to post some pictures of them with the babies but I don't seem to have one of them with the babies. I need to take more pictures!!
So for now I want to say a great big thanks to them for all the help they give us. We truly appreciate all the time they have offered us to help with our kids. An extra special thank you to my mom who has watched Trent for the past 3 1/2 years literally whenever I needed her to and already so much with the twins now as well. I truly do not know what we would do without her. So thank you mom!!!

Disneyland and Homemade Ice Cream

Mommy and T making ice cream
Daddy and T adding the salt

It's a small world....

Crash em up

T being impatient in the line

So the other night I decided to make ice cream- cookie dough. Turned out great and I had some helpers.
I have been trying to spend one day a week as "Mommy and Trent" day. Last week we went to lunch and Chuck e Cheese and this past week we went to Disneyland with my mom. I am so consumed with the babies T really needs this one on one attention. Thankfully between my mom, Justin's mom and grandma I am able to do this.
